韋蓉 Wei Rong

韋蓉 — 北京中央美院第一代超寫實派油畫家，1987年畢業於中央美術學院版畫系，1988年在法國使館文化處舉辦首次個展。其作品曾展出於 「女畫家的世界八人畫展」、「第七屆全國美展」、「新生代畫展」、「紐約·東西方的相遇藝術展」等，屢次獲獎。韋蓉的畫作被各地私人收藏家及博物館收藏，並於蘇富比和佳土得拍賣會上以高價成交。

於2010年移居香港後，韋蓉繼續就地取材，勾畫生活中平凡而不經意的人物及事物，呈現最真實的香港情懷。

韋蓉現並於加華藝廊教授週末油畫班。

Wei Rong is Beijing’s first generation photo-realistic oil painter. She graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Art in 1987. Then in 1988, she held her first personal exhibition in the French Embassy’s Chinese Cultural Department. Wei's works were presented at the "Eight Female Painters' Exhibition", "The Seventh National Fine Art Exhibition", the "New Generation Exhibition", and the "New York, Encounter between the East and West Art Exhibition". Her paintings are collected internationally by both private collectors and museums, and were sold at high prices at Sotheby’s and Christie’s auctions.

After moving to Hong Kong, Wei Rong continues to look for the uniqueness in the ordinary people’s daily routines, which are captured in her paintings to reveal the most realistic Hong Kong culture. 

Wei Rong also teaches part-time in the weekend painting class at Cawah Arts Gallery.
